I opened the car door and saw this banana peel placed perfectly for my left foot.

London Paris 2009

We are finally back from our 10-day vacation to London and Paris. I wanted to summarize our experiences quickly before memory starts to fade, so photos will have to wait are still being uploaded.

London (September 7 to September 11)

Day 0 (September 8 )

We flew via KLM airline to London, transiting at Amsterdam. We then took the Heathrow Express train to Paddington Station, which is already in the city. The busy 4:30pm commuters made sure I didn’t want to take Tube to my hotel, so I took a cab instead.

Day 1 (September 9)

Brides like the wedding date because, turned on its side, 8 forms the symbol for infinity. (Grooms just like an anniversary date they can actually remember.)

Mad TV’s iPod Nano Feist 1234 parody

Not exactly live blogging, but I just watched last Saturday’s Mad TV episode that I DVRed. It opened with a parody of Apple’s iPod Nano Feist 1234 commercial. The parody lyrics resonated with my current anti-Apple emotions, especially the part about the iPhone price drop.

Video: Web Crash 2007

I especially like the remark about the collapse of Nigeria’s gross national product (about 2:11 minutes into the video).
